Here, I present my first year photography project titled ‘An Observation of Light and Movement’.\u00a0This work explores how light interacts with movement to create captivating visual effects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>While we see time passing in a linear fashion, this photographic technique condenses an extended period into a single frame, evoking a sense of the supernatural<\/span>. This unique effect was achieved by the use of an extended shutter speeds, which reveals intricate pathways of light which are usually hidden from the naked eye.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We live within an ever-changing and progressive society that has a hunger for the latest and most innovative technological advancements. This means we are constantly moving forwards and improving on our creations without taking the time to look back at how far we\u2019ve come. This photography series aims to take a trip backwards in time to look at the different evolutionary steps we\u2019ve taken to get to where we are now.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Time is not something the human eye can directly observe; rather, we see the effects of time as it passes. Our brains are not wired to step outside the flow of time to perceive its profound impacts over extended periods. As time-sensitive beings, we can only witness gradual changes in the evolution of the world around us. This style of photography seeks to condense the life cycle of a subject into a single, visual representation. By using multiple image overlays and exposures, it replicates the impact of time on the development of technology across the ages.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
